The Alaska Positive - January 7th  - February 20th 2011 - Located at the Anchorage Museum this photography event showcases some of the classics around our area. The judge for this event, Richard Ross, chose 44 images from 36 artists for this breath-taking exhibit. Come view all the beauty that Alaska is known for through the eyes of the camera. Contemporary Alaska Native Art and Design is also on now through May 1st at the museum. This showcases and celebrates all that Alaska has to offer in the native culture and arts. With over 50 works of art, sculptures and crafts the examples of native creativity abound in this exhibit. This also includes amazing recycled pieces that has been transformed into beautiful works of art.

Anchorage Winterfest is going on the weekend of February 4th through Febraury 6th at the Alyeska Resort. This event is fun for the entire family featuring demo days, snowshoe tours, races, scavenger hunts and sled rides. Visit the Alyskaresort.com for more information
